Come out to the Haliburton Legion's Club Room on Sunday, April 19 from 2:00PM to 5:00PM and play Euchre.

$10 per person with all proceeds going to the Haliburton Food Bank.

Haliburton County Food Banks Launch a Shared Website

In a collaborative effort to make it easier for residents to find & give food support and information in one convenient place, the food banks serving Haliburton County have launched a new shared website at www.FoodBanksHaliburtonCounty.ca

​“People shouldn’t have to struggle to figure out where to go when they’re already struggling to put food on the table,” said Louise Ewing, Chair of the Board for 4Cs.

When the family income is low, most of the money goes toward housing and utilities. This leaves little money for food. To cope, families turn to food banks, family and friends in times of need.

The number of families seeking food bank services has increased over the past couple of years. Community food banks like ours, are seeing more of the working poor using their services.

Over 40% of those using food banks have children.
